Jeffrey Creque

Jeff Creque is co-founder of the Marin Carbon Project and a Director at the Carbon Cycle Institute, where he provides senior leadership on carbon farming and land management.  He brings thirty years of applied experience and theoretical training to the task of informing and facilitating the goals of the Marin Carbon Project.

Torri Estrada 

Torri serves as Director of Policy at the Carbon Cycle Institute. Torri has worked with nonprofit, community-based and public institutions to advance solutions to systemic social justice, climate and environmental issues for thirty years.

Torri was the program director at the Marin Community Foundation where he managed the Foundation's environmental grantmaking program and climate change initiative.

David Lewis

David is Director of the Marin County UC Cooperative Extension (UCEE). Mr. Lewis is a Watershed Advisor and holds a M.S. in International Agricultural Development. He specializes in agroforestry, soil science, and watershed management and research.

Nancy Scolari

Nancy is the Executive Director of the Marin Resource Conservation District (Marin RCD). Nancy will continue the Marin RCD's focus of on-the-ground implementation while supporting the mission and goals of the Marin Carbon Project.

Dr. Whendee Silver

Whendee is Professor of Ecosystem Ecology in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management at the University of California, Berkeley.  Whendee's role on the Steering Committee is to conduct and coordinate the scientific research of the project. She also participates in the outreach and education activities by helping to translate scientific findings to project participants and the general public.

Jamison Watts

Jamison has led Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT) since January of 2013. Prior to joining MALT, Jamison served as the Executive Director of the Northern California Regional Land Trust for six years, and as a wildlife biologist and environmental consultant for more than a decade.

John Wick

John is co-owner with his wife, Peggy Rathmann, of the Nicasio Native Grass Ranch. John is co-founder of the Marin Carbon Project and serves as its tireless spokesperson and advisor as it moves from research to implementation.
